Smarteq is founded in Bromma, Stockholm. At the beginning the company produced accessories to mobilephones. Later on the company developed, produced and supplied hands-free equipment for mobilephones in cars.

The company Carant Antennas is acquired in order to expand and broaden the business by increased sales, diversify the product range, increase the knowledge and know-how on antennas and antenna systems.

Allgon Automotvive Division is acquired to even further broaden the business.

The company Svenska Antenspecialisten is acquired to expand product offerings with WLAN antennas to wireless networks.

Smarteq is refining its business by terminating the hands-free product range. The company now focus solely on antennas and antenna systems for comminication between vehicles; Automotive, Machine-to-machine; M2M, and wireless transfer of voice and data; Mobile Communications.
Future
Today Smarteq has a well established and focused business concept with a clear strategy and a strong and growing customer base. Product offerings have been strengthened with several new high technological multifunctional antenna platforms.
